1. Who we are

TryReport (“TryReport”, “we”, “us”) is operated from Ukraine and serves users in the United States. This policy describes the personal data we process when you use our website and platform at https://tryreport.com (the “Service”). For any privacy question, email [email protected].

2. Data we collect

• Account data. When you sign up, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your name, email address, and login credentials or third-party sign-in identifiers.
• Billing data. If you purchase a paid plan, our self-hosted billing system records your plan, subscription status, invoices, and usage metering. Payment itself is handled by our payment processor (Paddle, acting as merchant of record); we never receive or store your full card credentials.
• Contact data. If you use our contact form, we collect the information you submit (such as your name, email, and message).
• Content you submit. Business briefs, ideas, projects, and other inputs you provide to generate research and reports. This content may be processed by our AI provider to produce outputs for you.
• Usage & device data. Log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and interactions, collected to operate and secure the Service.
• Analytics. If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the Service is used. Google Analytics loads only after you consent via the cookie banner — see our Cookie Policy.

3. Why we process your data

We use your personal data to:

• Create and manage your account, provide the Service, and process your requests;
• Secure, maintain, and improve the Service, and prevent fraud and abuse;
• Communicate with you about the Service and respond to your inquiries;
• Understand usage through analytics, but only where you have accepted non-essential cookies;
• Comply with applicable laws, tax, and accounting requirements.

We are operated from Ukraine, and your personal data is processed in Ukraine, the United States, and the European Union. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is handled securely wherever it is processed.

6. How long we keep your data

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After account closure, we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, except where longer retention is required to comply with legal obligations or to resolve disputes.

We serve users in the United States. If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it;
• Request access to and deletion of your personal information;
• Correct inaccurate personal information;

The Service is intended for users in the United States. 9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and vetted sub-processors. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
